電影一開場, 眾人都有拭目以待的情緒, 綜觀影院裡的觀眾, 一看到Helen Mirren第一個鏡頭, 對著攝影機, 好一個皇后的模樣, 然後頭輕輕稍為一轉, 目光依然對著鏡頭, 大家都不禁笑了.
相信看的人都有點在看紀錄片的心態, 就像一起去回顧1997年那一個星期所發生的事情及傳媒, 各國, 英國皇室, 英國領袖, 人民等等的回應及應對, 不同的只是這回都是由演員去把歷史交代. 當然那些陰謀論在電影裡是沒有假設過的.
Helen Mirren憑此片剛奪奧斯卡最佳女主角獎, 演技無容置疑, 演得恰到好處, 不少內心戲都得到發揮. 不得不一讚飾演Tony Blair的Michael Sheen, 本看其樣貌不太酷似Blair, 但他把Blair的神情及動靜捕捉得十足, 一邊看, 我一邊驚嘆其Blair上身的演技. 他們倆的演技, 不時為電影帶來幽默. 菲臘親王及Prince Charles由James Cromwell及Alex Jennings飾演, 當然樣貌不及Helen Mirren及Michael Sheen酷似角色本身, 但他們都演得很好. 演Cherie Blair的Helen McCrory亦不似Cherie, 但刻意的誇張演出令角色更突出搞笑.
電影中另一主角是傳媒, 身為這個行業的一份子, 看得更投入. 97年我還只是剛踏入這行, 現在看電影的描寫, 十分到肉.
電影把嚴肅且敏感的題材用應有的手法再加上一點點的幽默, 製造出很不錯的效果. 當然電影中對英國皇室帶一些諷刺, 但又處理得適可而止.
不過電影比預期中的精彩有一些差別, 不是說它不夠好, 只是或許之前呼聲過高. 畢竟它都落敗於奧斯卡及金球獎. 但這個題材的電影又的確是難得, 相信許多人都一不會錯過.導演Stephen Frears前作有"Mrs. Henderson Presents", 也是近年佳作.
Rotten Tomatoes有98%好評, wow...

aulina: hmm, tv movie, not really agree with that. i haven't read all those commentaries on rotten tomatoes (a lot of film critics), 98% praised it, really should read them. but i also think that it's ok not to see it on big screen.
inner space: yeah, newsweek talks about her dress, it's Christian Lacroix, she actually saved the brand!
I know, almost no critic agrees with kermode, that's why I'm such a follower... ;P

對於the queen, 或許是我太過期待, 看完之後有點"不夠"的感覺, 好像缺了點甚麼. 不過如妳所言英女皇與貝理雅的演出值得讓人讚賞
