上星期一晚明珠台開始播映電視劇"Shark"(律政狂鯊), 錄了起來, 週末拿來看, credits一出, directed by Spike Lee, 立時呆了. Spike Lee! Wow, 那一定要追看了!
Spike Lee是一向以拍攝具爭議的社會及政治題材而出位的黑人導演, 前陣子Hurricane Katrina令New Orleans一帶天災劫後餘生, 他的一套"When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts"紀錄片在美國更廣獲關注. 沒怎麼看過他拍攝的電視劇, 這回竟然有機會看, 怎可錯過.
雖然看得太多打官司(無論港式的, 美式的)的電視劇的確有點膩, 不過由Spike Lee導演, 怎也得要追下去.劇集簡介:
Sebastian Stark(James Wood), a charismatic, supremely self-confident defense attorney who, after a shocking outcome in one of his cases and a personal epiphany, brings his cutthroat tactics to the prosecutor's office as the head of the Los Angeles District Attorney's High Profile Crime Unit. A group of young prosecutors are about to have the learning experience of a lifetime because, though Stark is seeking to redeem himself, he has no intention of cooling his underhanded approach to cases just because he's now working for the "good guys." 不過查看多一會, 好像只是pilot一集是Spike Lee導演, 今晚那集可能不是了... :(

有一段時間很害怕看legal drama，現在不再怕了，也十分喜歡。上集我錯過了，今晚要看一看！

but that is also why i used to avoid such kind of dramas....until i let go my 心中的包袱 some years ago.

i just think that Wood spoke too quickly. it's like just spitting out the dialogues.
but i think the first episode showed too much of his soft spot... he should be really mean in the first few episodes and then his softness/humane side slowly seeps through... :P
