和好友們(七友中的三位)去了吃豪lunch... waiter給我們sparkling water(我遲了來, 她們都說侍應沒有問我們要什麼水), 友人說: 佢不停咁倒, 應該唔洗錢係嘛?
我: 睇怕呢度唔會唔收你錢囉... 飲咗幾支呢我地?
答: 唔知噃... 頭先一支完咗, 宜家第二支... 都無同我地講...
OK... 結賬...

算啦. 好彩有人無嚟, 唔係一陣又話: for what occasion呀食咁貴?! haha...
然後某人又說到她上次去廣州的水的故事.
話說她住酒店, 不想煲水, 見枱頭一支Evian, 寫上價錢: $8 5(那個5字是細一點的, 在上方), 她心想 : $8.5, 算啦, 仲平過香港買.
Check-out時, 那支水原來盛惠$85人民幣! :)

haha, I always hear abt funny store about 'water' charge at hotel and fine dinning. My friend drink a cup of water in a pub for 50RMB in GZ! Just a cup... dun even know what brand!!!
But ur one is very classic too, did u guys try to argu abt it when u saw the bill?

If you spell Evian backward it's Naive, that's what it is, naive to pay for fancy water. Plus I guess the trend of drinking fancy water is pretty much over, I mean really O-V-E-R.

I was going to laugh at you for wasting money to drink the expensive water. :)
But then I remember a friend invited us to try out a French restaurant over Christmas and we drank 3-4 bottles of expensive water (Acqua Panna). Since I felt it was totally inappropriate to use any blunt negative words in that case, I am not going to do that here as well.
I just think part of the world has little clean water, some part of the world has the kind of expensive water. In Canada, our tap water is perfectly drinkable which makes us even less excusable.
