I was just talking to a friend today about real estate price in Hong Kong vs the U.S. I am surprised Hong Kong people aren't snapping up all these cheap properties here. Even in California, you can buy a very nice place for US$500,000 now. Imagine the mid-west! Come on over, we need more buyers, haha...exile

唉﹐ 在香港有能力的﹐ 買樓如買股票﹐ 但一般的﹐ 要‘上車’真的不容易。
友人在英國工作住廉租屋都係一間House兼有後花園~香港地少人多樓價貴,然而居住環境又說不上好,空氣與水質都很差.如果有筆可觀的資金, 我寧願移居外地算.

真的,東京池袋東武東上線沿線廿分鐘內車程,二百萬港元可以一幢兩層房子了,4-6百萬或千萬以下已經可以在貴價區購一幢有細花園的洋房看到彩虹橋景。
香港係有點過份....

Karelian: 係囉, 新加坡都係, 政府屋都有九百幾尺, 兩三個人一個單位. 香港公屋有幾大呀.

其實如果經濟能力有限,何解一定要買樓?
買了樓又如何,生活有保障? 老來有樓安老? 為了層樓每日怨天尤人,哀歎地任由眼前這一秒鐘白白流走,為咩呢?
投資需要用腦用心經營,難道每人都擅長,然後滿街都是千萬富翁嗎?
如果有錢,選擇買鋪買樓轉租,每月有定量回報,應比買樓自住有投資價值。
ps. 其實我都明白,如果要成家立室是好難逃脫買樓這個包袱的...
Jen: 租樓都唔平嘛, 好多人都覺得租樓即係幫人供樓, 租咁多年樓又唔係自己, 好唔抵. 買鋪, 你估鋪好平? 一百幾十萬嘅又唔值租, 出得起嘅都寧願買樓自住或投資喇.
