wow, wow, wow, you are bragging. :) Lucky you. Have fun.
Ours Film Fest is in late Sept so it will be too many months until I get my complete fix.
Thinking about it, if I keep it up, I may get a few preview films to watch before Sept. And I will do a few directors' interviews some weeks before Sept. OK, not bad la. Ha ha, time to set a reminder to get in touch with my NFB contacts and other publicists.
Still, on a big screen, it will be Sept until I can my films "fix".
Are you trying to change your name from mad dog to yellow cow? Now that you got all the tickets. Duke of Aberdeen is very mad. I am going to be a tattletale and tell him you got all the tickets and want to be a yellow cow ... ha ha ha ha ha.
I do directors' or filmmakers' interviews for my blog and try to publicize films I like. To me, it is nice to understand how the filmmakers think in their creative process.
Last year, I called Christoph Schaub in Switzerland, co-director of a wonderful documentary about 鸟巢. They managed to gain exclusive access to the architects at Herzog & de Meuron. Chatting with Christoph about his film “Bird’s Nest: Herzog & de Meuron in China” was exciting to me as I think they did a wonderful job sharing their unique insights. Not your typical PR highlights of 鸟巢.
Check out the trailer and have a listen to the interview if you like. http://kempton.wordpress.com/2008/08/29/birds-nest-filmmaker-chat/
Feel free to check out some of my other filmmakers' interviews that I've done over the years, http://kempton.wordpress.com/category/ciff-interview/
P.S. Film is just one of the things I am interested in. Another side is business (and making money). :) Plus I do have a wide range other interests, your typical "jack of all trades, master of none".
I have been reporting on the Film Festival and the Banff World TV Festival (an TV industry executives and producers gathering) for my blog. Yes, my blog. You sounded a bit surprise, ha ha. :)
Nope, I didn't interview Werner Herzog. I wish I had as it would be a lot of fun. After all, Werner did eat a shoe after losing a bet with a friend who later would win an Oscar for his documentary. :)
I am looking for someone who is willing to bet a shoe with me. :)
Here is Herzog eating a shoe. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ymyiRXCszc
coffee: i tried to order tkt for 東邪西毒 on March 1 and tried 5 times in the afternoon, all failed. :( then by midnight i tried again and of course it's full already, damn it!
